International Classic Car Show 2001 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005

In 2001 the Club exhibited at the prestigious International Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham for the first time. As we can see from the pictures below the Club had two cars on its stand. A 1969 Maxi owned by a club member (complete with cable gear change) and another vehicle that had been driven in the 1970 World Cup Rally organised by the Daily Mirror (kindly loaned to the Club by the National Heritage Centre at Gaydon). The chap hanging onto the latter's fog lamp is Gavin Thompson who was one of the team that actually drove the car in the rally
