Visitors to the club stand

Two of the three cars on the stand.

Mud, glorious mud!

The half empy showground

Despite torrential rain before, during and after the show, the club managed to man a stand at this years pageant. Whilst other clubs (and autojumblers) abandoned the event, Spares Advisor Morry Cook and his team braved the elements to welcome the much depleted crowds of visitors.

When visiting the show (on tbe Sunday) your intrepid reporter found 3 Maxi's on the club stand. Others presumably had been prevented from taking their cars onto the showground due to it being waterlogged. It was noticeable that many classic car enthusiasts were forced to park their pride and joy on roads surrounding the show ground (many on the hard shoulder).

Fortunately those of us who visited on the Sunday got in for free. Presumably the organisers had taken the decision to waive the normal entrance fee of £8, in order to attract as many people as possible to the show.

Although spares availablity is worsening as time passes, bargains were still to be had. Here are a selection of spares that I managed to find:
Front Panel (price not known).
Front Brake Calipers (£60 per pair).
Water Pumps (price not known).
Clutch Kits (£25 each)
Butterfly Mountings (£5 each).
Engine mountings (£10 each).
Wiper blades (£20 per pair).

One of the more unusual exhibits (a tank) …. just the thing if your neighbours have been getting on your nerves.

The White Webbs Museum aired some of their more exotic American icons.

A regular at the show … this fully operational classic fish and chip van.
