My name is Steve Huckle, and I live near Northampton. I currently own
HRY 170L, which I bought in 2007. It is a 1973 Maxi 1750, in Harvest
Gold with olive interior. It was sold new by Palmer & Ward in
Leicester, has had three previous recorded keepers and has covered just
under 50,000 miles. Although the bodywork was in good condition when I
bought it and would have probably lasted a number of years, I have had
it resprayed to try to preserve it for as long as possible.
The other pictures are of my original Maxi. It was PBD 447V, a 1980 Maxi 1750 HLS in Champagne
with brown interior. It was sold new by Oakley Garage in Bedfordshire.
I was the second owner, and had it for three and a half years in the mid
1980s. The photos were taken in 1985. According to the DVLA vehicle licensing online website, PBD 447V was last taxed in 1990. This ties in with what I know about the car, as I think it was scrapped around that time.
