Fuel Injected Maxi

Mark Pacey and Phil Marrison recently visited an enthusiast who has modified his Maxi so that it's is now fuel injected. Here's Phil's report on their visit plus some photo's.

Charles: I thought that you might like some of the attached photos for possible inclusion on the Website. They are of a fuel injected Maxi that Mark and I went to look at last Saturday.

Built by an enthusiast who works in the motor trade, it's based on a 1978 Maxi 1750 HL using fuel injection components from Rover and Vauxhall, electronic ignition from Lucas and Ford while retaining the standard HL exhaust system. The conversion provides a very smooth engine with improved throttle response, and we suspect torque, over a standard car.
