I own a 1974 Austin Maxi 1750 (see below), which was a private
import into Australia.They were never sold in this country, and
in all, there were probably no more than ten Maxis here, of which
there are only about three still running. Living in Brisbane, the
capital city of Queensland, it is used an every day car, and in
12 years of ownership, after an extensive rebuild, it has never
let me down. But let's start at the beginning.
